It is a strange teaching to fear the LORD. Many people misunderstand what it means to fear Christ. Fearing Christ means to have reverence for Him. To bow down to Him and be humble. God does not want His children to be frightened of Him. However, He could take life away and give it back in an instance. So, it is right that people fear the Lord for what He can do. However, fear of the Lord does not mean shaking like a leaf in fear of Him. It means trusting Him in everything we do.

Only by spending time in God's company can someone feel happier. We are told not to be anxious about anything, but that we should trust God in everything. If we lay down our anxieties at the foot of the cross, then God will comfort us. He will wash us free of sin and condemnation through the blood of Jesus Christ.

It is important to be realistic and know that this life is not going to be easy. However, it is a lot easier when we lean on God. Our sins are forgiven and we are no longer condemned. The perfect sacrifice was paid when Christ gave His life for us. There is no problem that is too big or small for God.

God gave us His Gospel to turn to when life's burdens seem unbearable. God lifts us up though the powerful words of the Gospel. Christians need to humble themselves before the throne and learn to rely on God for everything. Worrying about things is not good and it pulls us down. Rather than worry, we should equip ourselves with the words of the Gospel.
